Mike Boden remains one of the best all-around athletes to ever " lace ‘em up" for the Red Raiders. When he graduated from Barnstable in 1985, Mike had an amazing 10 varsity letters in soccer, hockey and baseball, captaining all three teams in his senior year. More than that, he had left his mark in the record books as one of the most prolific scorers in Red Raider history. Mike played four years of varsity hockey under Hall of Fame Coach Peter Melchhiono, and was named a co-captain in both his junior and senior seasons. Upon finishing his senior year, Mike was the all-time leading scorer in Red Raider hockey history. He was named to the Cape & Islands and SMC-1 all-star teams in each of his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and he led the Cape & Islands and the SMC-1 in scoring during his senior season when he was named the Cape Cod News player of the year. Mike also earned three letters playing varsity soccer, and was a captain of the team during his senior year when he was the leading scorer and team MVP. Mike was named to the Cape & Islands and SMC-1 all -star teams in each of his junior and senior seasons, also being named player of the year by the Cape Cod News. Mike was no less gifted on the baseball diamond as he garnered three varsity letters starting at the hot corner for the Red & White. |
