The Quarterback Club, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation and as such is organized exclusively to support and develop the Barnstable High School Red Raider football program. The officers of the QBC are president, vice-president of fundraising, vice president of events, treasurer, recording secretary, corresponding secretary, past president and historian. The officers are elected prior to the end of the season in November and announced to our membership at the QBC annual football banquet in December. The term of each officer is one calendar year. The QBC meets each week on Tuesday 6:30 PM, at BHS room 126 from August thru December, then monthly in the off-season. A typical weekly meeting starts with Coach Demanche reviewing the game film for last week's opponent and then commenting on the upcoming game. Next, two senior players come in and chat with the club so our members have the chance to get to know our Red Raider team on a more personal level. Conversation usually includes an update on how things are going during the season, thoughts on upcoming games, the student-athletes academic interest and other activities as well as their plans after high school. Finally, the club membership in attendance discusses our week's activities and organizes the membership to accomplish our tasks for upcoming events.
